Russia Plans Inviting New Syrian Leadership for Russian-Arab Summit
During a media briefing held in Moscow, Peskov stated that the fresh leadership of Syria will be formally invited by Russia to attend the forthcoming gathering.
"Certainly, such invitations will be sent," he declared, affirming the Kremlin’s intention.
The announcement regarding the first Russian-Arab summit was originally made by President Vladimir Putin back in May.
In a message directed at the attendees of an Arab League summit—published on the Kremlin’s official platform—Putin confirmed that the historic meeting is set to occur on October 15.
