Syrian Interim Leader Vows Non-Intervention Unless Directly Attacked

(MENAFN) Syria has declared it will avoid involvement in ongoing conflicts unless directly threatened, according to statements by Ahmed al-Sharaa on Tuesday.

As stated by reports, speaking at an event hosted by Chatham House in London, al-Sharaa emphasized: “No one is ready to be involved in war, and we will not be in it, unless we are subject to aggression and we have no diplomatic solution.”

He highlighted that the government’s main focus remains on stabilizing the economy, rebuilding essential infrastructure, and assisting the return of displaced citizens. Al-Sharaa added, “We had enough war. We paid a large bill. We are not ready for another war experience. Those who have been in war know the value of peace.”
